In accordance with the agreement between the Azerbaijani Ministry of Digital Development and Transport and the Georgian National Communications Commission, joint radio monitoring was carried out in border areas with the participation of specialists from both countries in order to regulate the broadcast of the television and radio. , for efficient use of radio frequency resources and prevention of mutual interference effects in border areas.
Radio monitoring was carried out on July 18 and 19 in Georgia and on July 20 and 21 in Azerbaijan.
In addition, according to the results of radio monitoring, discussions took place in Ganja on July 22-23 between specialists on the compliance of television and radio broadcasting with international requirements, bilateral protocols and coordination of radio frequency channels. in border areas.
As a result of the discussions, it was decided to take appropriate measures to regulate radio frequencies for TV and radio broadcasting in border areas, including the introduction of new digital technologies in this area.
Besides the ministry, the meeting also brought together specialists from the State Radio Frequency Administration and the Association of Radio and Television Production and Satellite Communications.
